Rooibos tea was created with a purpose: to soothe and heal. This super-calming, creamy lathering wonder bar has been a hit since the day it was created. It is simply wonderful. Heidi drinks a cup of rooibos tea every single day; she knows first hand the powerful benefits of this tea. It only suits bodygoodies to have a soap made with it, as well. Teas have a high antioxidant level which are extremely beneficial to our health internally, and also topically.

We didn't stop there; rooibos tea is loaded with the highest quality patchouli oil we could get our hands on. Patchouli oil is very widely misunderstood as it is so well known for its distinct earthy aroma. However, from a skincare standpoint, it's hard to beat the properties of this oil's soothing and healing ability. Topped off with a bit of lavender to heal and soothe. From scars and discoloration to acne and irritation, eczema and psoriasis to tired or lack luster tone, this bar is here to help, and it knows it.

all bodygoodies soaps are made with a base of natural, sustainable, and organic plant and vegetable oils. often including but not limited to - olive, coconut, apricot, sunflower, safflower, castor, mango butter, shea butter, palm fruit oil. we also use beeswax in some of our products. clays and botanicals: bodygoodies uses only the very best quality clays and botanicals sourced from all over the world. In some of our soaps you will find a variety of clays and botanicals known to be beneficial to skin such as rhassoul clay, french green clay, rooibos tea, australian pink clay, calendula, australian black clay...etc.

muds: we know skin, and we know mud is good for it. we dont mind a little mud while we get clean and we dont think you will either. we use only the finest spa quality, raw muds available.

essential oils: all bodygoodies soaps are made with top shelf essential oils. Heidi has one heck of a nose and sniffs out the best essentials she can find. We use a variety of essentials in our soaps and leave the blending up to heidi.

exfoliants: sometimes you want a little, sometimes you want a lot. bodygoodies has a variety of exfoliating soaps with different scrubbing potential. From our super gritty sand and pumice, to our middle of the road rough dead sea salt and ground coffee, to our mildly exfoliating clays and muds. We are sure you will find the right exfoliant for you.

colorants: bodygoodies does not use any micas, FD&C, or any sort of manufactured dye colorants to get our beautiful aesthetics. All colors are naturally occuring from the beneficial ingredients used, such as clays, muds, or botanicals.

Rooibos Tea: contains alpha hydroxy acid and zinc for healthy, smooth skin. This wonder tea is especially useful when applied to skin irritations like itchy skin, eczema, sunburns, and acne. Rooibos is rich in antioxidants shown to be both anti-spasmodic and anti-inflammatory. Placed directly on the skin, it can help to reduce wrinkles and other signs of aged skin.

Patchouli Oil: the cicatrisant and cytophylactic properties of patchouli makes it ideal to promote and stimulate new cell growth, as well as assisting with the healing of wounds, while preventing the formation of ugly scar tissue or keloids and helps to calm inflamed skin as in the case with acne, eczema and problem skin. The astringent action of patchouli tones and revitalizes the skin, while its diuretic action removes any excess fluids from the tissue. Its antiseptic action not only helps to cool down inflamed skin, but also helps to sort out the source of the inflammation.

Lavender Oil: there is a long list of the benefits of lavender oil. Some we're sure you know already. Some of the benefits it provides topically to the skin include its antiseptic and antifungal properties. It is used to treat various skin disorders such as acne, wrinkles, psoriasis, and other inflammations. It heals wounds, cuts, burns, and sunburns rapidly as it aids in the formation of scar tissues.

This bar absolutely saved my skin. I had clear skin growing up, but developed acne in my 20s that just got progressively worse over time. Despite years of failure with other products, in just 3 months with the Rooibos bar and Heidi's advice, my skin was dramatically transformed. Though (like everyone) I still have occasional break outs, my acne has not returned. When I saw my doctor again after using bodygoodies, she immediately exclaimed: "Wow! Your skin!! It's so clear! You're obviously a success story... what did you do?" :) This bar (heck, the entire bodygoodies line) is formulated with love (no joke - Heidi puts her heart and soul into these bars), research, and many hours of hard work, to ensure that every ingredient is beneficial to your skin. This bar heals skin like nobody's business!! My face tends towards ruddy tones and uneven color, but this bar has harmonized tones and brightened my skin. It looks so much more healthy! It's great, too, for calming down sensitive skin that's reacting to harsh fragrance oils, and restoring a healthy balance. This is my skin medic, to-the-rescue soap! :)

This is my second purchase of this a-m-a-z-i-n-g bar. Heidi's right about this being super extra creamy. I find myself nearly draining the hot water heater tank each time I use this bar in the shower. Definitely worth the money for those customers who have yet to try Rooibos Tea.
